Life in the Countryside

Pheasant

So as if yesterday’s deer weren’t enough, this evening (at about the same time as last night, 7:20pm) I came upon a pheasant in the orchard. This time I was more prepared and managed to snap a few pictures. This may have been helped by the fact that the pheasant moved a lot slower and struggled to get through the fencing at first. She then pottered her way across the middle of the field to the opposite far corner and wormed her way out into the back field. I know that J will be kicking himself again for not being here to see it but hopefully this will be the first of many new sightings of wildlife at the cottage.
